About

First of all dear friends I’d like to warmly welcome you to my ever expanding website, The Ritchie Yorke Project.

I’d like to think that this website is a natural culmination of all of the 50 years of intense rock `n’ roll endeavor with which I have been enthusiastically involved.

I have been incredibly fortunate. As anyone who knows me will verily testify.   And even those who don’t, would hardly disagree.

From a teenage infatuation with the rock `n’ roll culture – and all that it embodied – I have spent a lifetime’s passion in pursuing my dream. It was the dream I shared with so many people of the post-war generations.

Rock `n’ roll is here to stay sang Danny and the Juniors in 1958 and they were absolutely right on! Truer words were hardly ever sung by anybody.  We’re still revelling in the legacy.

Now we are in a position to present this journey for your enlightenment and entertainment.  We are uncovering fifty years of archives, digging down into the golden oldies vault, discovering a pulse and a purpose.

We invite you to join us as we follow the motherlode of musical history.
