Greetings to the world of Van the Man!

Greetings to the world of Van the Man!

Our warmest congratulations to
Sir Van Morrison
on his Knighthood!

How appropriate!

Having had the pleasure of knowing Mr Morrison since the early ‘70s, I couldn’t be happier to acknowledge this development. I’ve followed Mr Morrison over several continents, and accompanied him on several significant journeys, including his return to Ireland in 1973 for the release of the Veedon Fleece album.

An artist who’s been true to his art and his heart is a very rare beast.  A professional singer/songwriter/arranger rather than a member of the music industry.

Van Morrison fits the bill.  So completely.  So absolutely.  So soulfully.

I have had the honour and pleasure of working for Van over the years – in particular in 1976 when we teamed up on publicising the release of his outstanding album co-produced by Dr John entitled A Period of Transition.

A great artist on a grand mission is how I would summarize his journey.
A man who has been able to take music to a higher place.
From which we have all benefited and shared.
Thank you Van. Thank you for being The Man when it mattered!

Most sincerely,

RITCHIE YORKE
